I have had the privilege and opportunity to become a part of the board for Te Puke Karanga Hauora whose inception started in my community where I reside today.
Most of my childhood was spent along the river growing up between Pipiriki, Ramanui, Tieke and Parinui.
I am part of the Whanganui River Adventures staff. I have many roles within the business from working in an Admin Role, helping my sister to manage our Campground, Cleaner and also a cook in our Takeaway shop. I get to work under my parents who own the business Ken and Josephine Haworth as well as work alongside some of our whanau.
I have worked in retail for a number of years as a general staff member to a supervisor role in Rotorua before coming home to Pipiriki.
I am a community minded person focused on the betterment and wellbeing of our whanau and community.
I work alongside one of my younger cousins in getting things done for our community and organising events in our community. My reasons for this are to help try and bridge and connect our community better and also to interest our whanau in wanting to come back more.
I have a love for our whanau and community here and connecting with them all including our wider whanau.
